DĂșn Aonghasa is located on Inis MĂłr (Inishmore), the largest of the three Aran Islands - the name actually means 'big island' in the Irish language. The island's main hub is the village of Kilronan, where ferries from Clare and Galway arrive several times a day.

DĂșn Aonghasa is located 4.5 miles (7 kilometers) from the Kilronan Inishmore harbor. Private tourist buses transport visitors from the harbor to the site's visitor center, or you can rent a bicycle from the harbor and cycle there, which takes around 25 minutes.
